Course Overview
The course is designed to train personnel in the correct methods to transfer from a crew boat to a platform and vice-versa after travelling to an offshore installation. Delegates will learn how to transfer luggage and use swing ropes correctly while observing the correct procedures to maintain health and safety.

This programme is designed for personnel travelling to an offshore oil and gas installation by crew boat.
Aims & Objectives
The course aims to provide knowledge and skills to correctly and safely transfer from a boat to an offshore installation and vice-versa.
Physical and Stressful Demands
Training and/or assessment activities contained within this Standard may include physically demanding and potentially stressful elements. All personnel who participate in such activities must be physically and mentally capable of participating fully.

None.
Course Outline
Delegates attending this training and assessment program will be given the series of explanations and demonstrations which will identify what they are expected to know and do.
During the training programme, delegates will be required to demonstrate their skills and understanding of the following key areas:
- Donning of an appropriate flotation device as used during boat transfers e.g. workvest
- A method of transfer between a simulated boat deck and a simulated fixed installation deck using swing rope transfers with luggage transfers.
- Actions in preparation of a boat emergency
- Actions in the event of an abandonment
- Survival techniques following an abandonment
