Personnel designated as HLO’s and supervisor/senior operation personnel.

This course provides knowledge and skills to perform and functioning effectively and safely as a Helicopter Landing Officer (HLO) at installations in accordance with current industry standards.

Training and/or assessment activities contained within this Standard may include physically demanding and potentially stressful elements. All personnel who participate in such activities must be physically and mentally capable of participating fully.

Velid in-date TPTI OHLO or FOHLO certificate

Valid in-date offshore medical or fitness to work certificate (Valid within 12 months)

Delegates attending this training and assessment program will be given the series of explanations and demonstrations which will identify what they are expected to know and do:

• Controlling the emergency helicopter landing preparations
• Controlling the preparations for entering the incident area
• Controlling the emergency response while entering the incident area
• Controlling rescue of personnel
• Controlling firefighting operations
• Controlling non-firefighting operations

TPTI certificate. Validity 2 years.
