All persons who may have a responsibility to respond to an emergency incident involving hazardous materials and / or maybe required to take a supportive role in the control, mitigation and / or decontamination at an emergency incident involving hazardous materials.

The course aims to provide the knowledge and skills necessary to effectively and safely respond to and assist at an emergency incident involving hazardous materials.

Training and/or assessment activities contained within this Standard may include physically demanding and potentially stressful elements. All personnel who participate in such activities must be physically and mentally capable of participating fully.

Valid in-date offshore medical or fitness to work certificate (Valid within 12 months)

Delegates will acquire competence in the theory and practice of the following:

• Maintaining a state of readiness
• Responding to and assisting at a HAZMAT emergency incident
• Entering the incident area and working safely
• Assisting to carry out Isolation, Confinement, Containment and / or Dilution Operations
• Assisting with carrying out suitable decontamination operations
• Maintaining effective communications

TPTI certificate. Validity 3 years.
