All personnel who are required to erect scaffolding, supervisors and safety personnel involved with scaffolding operations onshore oil and gas industry in Thailand.

This course aims to provide the basic theoretical knowledge and practical skill required for personnel involved in Scaffold construction, maintenance and inspection for onshore Oil & Gas industry in Thailand.

Training and/or assessment activities contained within this Standard may include physically demanding and potentially stressful elements. All personnel who participate in such activities must be physically and mentally capable of participating fully.

Valid in-date TPTI Work at Height (Onshore) certificate

Valid in-date offshore medical or fitness to work certificate (Valid within 12 months)

By the end of the program, participants will have the knowledge to identify, list, describe and/or demonstrate:

• An outline of the requirements for scaffolding including personal and worksite safety, protection of others
• Identification and use of the common forms of scaffolds with emphasis on British Standard tube/coupling types, common fittings and accessories
• Use, inspection and maintenance of safety equipment including Full Body Harness with Shock Absorber Lanyard by following manufacturer’ instructions
• Preparation, use, inspection and maintenance of scaffolding materials
• Use, inspection and maintenance of ladders, Gin wheel
• Know and practice the criteria required for safety inspection of all types of scaffolding structures
• Proper sequence and practice for the erection, alteration and dismantling of Tower scaffolds, Independent scaffolds, Cantilevered Scaffold (practical)
• Understand the planned work and the hazards involved
• Recognize safety hazards in the scaffolds listed

TPTI certificate. Validity 3 years.
